Aspect
Some Turkish Romani people in Turkey, especially Romani Sufis, who founded the Gulsheni Order at Selamsiz in Üsküdar, claimed to be descendants of Indian dervishes who went from Hindustan in 13-15 century AD to Ottoman empire and established thereSufi Lodges, to try and gain acceptance by the dominant Turkish culture. They might have adopted this identity because it was less marginalized compared to their Romani identity.
